This easy grilled chicken recipe is a huge hit! If you love buffalo chicken, this will soon be a family favorite! Grilled Buffalo Chicken drumsticks easy and perfect for just about any time of the year.
These chicken drumsticks can be grilled or bake in the oven. If it’s blazing hot outside, there’s no way I’m turning on the oven. If I’m hankering for some buffalo chicken in the winter, the oven works great for this recipe too.
We love serving these chicken drumsticks with ranch dressing but there’s a variation of a ranch dressing we love too. If you mix half ranch dressing with half of the prepared buffalo sauce, it makes a great combo. We call this amazing sauce at our house and love to have it with chicken, pizza, quesadillas, and fries. It’s creamy, sweet, and spicy.

Tips for Making the best drum sticks:
- Make the buffalo sauce ahead of time. We like to make an entire bottle at a time. We just use a funnel and pour it back into the bottle and use it in many different ways.
How To Make Homemade Buffalo Sauce:
- To make the best buffalo sauce, just mix equal parts Franks Red Hot Sauce and brown sugar. Boil for 1 minute or until all the brown sugar is dissolved. Let it cool and pour back into the bottle. Brush it on drumsticks, chicken breast, pizza, or eggs.
This easy grilled chicken recipe is a huge hit! If you love buffalo chicken, this will soon be a family favorite! Grilled Buffalo Chicken drumsticks easy and perfect for just about any time of the year.
- 6 large chicken drumsticks
- salt and pepper
- 1 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1 Cup Franks Red Hot Sauce
Combine the Franks Red Hot Sauce and the brown sugar in a saucepan on the stove. Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer for 1 minute. Let it cool. It can be poured back into the container and used for pizza, eggs, on chicken or steak.
Sprinkle salt and pepper on the chicken on both side and cook until internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 degrees. Use a meat thermometer or cook until the meat starts to pull away from the drumstick bone.
When the chicken is almost done, using a pastry brush, brush the buffalo glaze onto the chicken. Let the glaze cook on the chicken for the last couple minutes of grilling, turning once, to ensure the chicken has a thick layer of glaze. Take the chicken off the grill or out of the oven and spread the glaze on the chicken once more before serving. Enjoy!
