    This Garlic Roasted Broccoli is hands-down the best way to prepare cooked broccoli. The broccoli is tossed in a little avocado oil,  seasoned with minced garlic and then freshly squeezed lemon juice, and finished roasting in the oven. YUM!

    How to Make Oven Roasted Garlic Broccoli 

    If you're looking for a great baked broccoli recipe, look no further!  This oven-roasted broccoli with garlic is easy, it can be thrown together in a few minutes, and delicious!

    With steamed broccoli, sometimes it gets a little mushy and it becomes more of a texture issue but with this oven-roasted broccoli, it's full of flavor and has plenty of texture.

    There are a few variations of this recipe you may want to try.  If you love a little spice, try sprinkling a few red pepper flakes and some chopped red onion in before you bake the broccoli.

    Or after you take it out of the oven, substitute the lemon juice for balsamic vinegar.

    You can also substitute the lemon juice for some parmesan cheese.  This is another favorite at my house!

    How to roast Broccoli:

    • Wash broccoli under cool water and let it drain
    • Cut broccoli into evenly sized pieces--1" (oven roasting times will vary based on the size of your broccoli pieces.)
    • Using a hand towel, pat-dry the washed broccoli.
    • Put the broccoli in a gallon sized ziplock bag.  Toss the broccoli with the oil and the minced garlic.
    • Spread onto a baking sheet, glass or metal works great.
    • Sprinkle the broccoli with salt and pepper
    • Place in a 400-degree oven for 20-25 minutes (check after 12 minutes and adjust baking time if needed)
    • Oven roasted broccoli should have a deep, rich, dark green color and lightly golden on the edges.
    • Squeeze the juice from a fresh lemon over the broccoli and salt and pepper to taste.
    • Serve immediately, Enjoy!

    Ingredients

    • 1.5-2 lbs fresh broccoli florets
    • 2 Tablespoons Avocado oil (olive oil, or any vegetable works great too)
    • 1 Tablespoo Minced garlic
    • 1 large Lemon
    • Salt and Pepper to taste

    Instructions
