Ingredients in This Baked Chicken Parmesan Recipe
Chicken: You can use boneless skinless chicken breasts or chicken tenders. Adjust your cooking times to how thick your meat is and use a digital thermometer to make sure your meat isn't overdone.
Breading: The breading in this recipe can also be altered to fit your family's needs. You can use panko breadcrumbs, make your own breadcrumbs, use gluten-free crackers or just about any combination of those things too. This recipe is also very forgiving. Make sure your breading has a low moisture content so the chicken becomes crispy on the outside as it bakes.
Egg Wash: This is simply an egg and a little water to make the wash thinner so the breading isn't too thick. You want it just thick enough so the breadcrumbs will stick to the chicken.
Marinara: You can make a homemade marinara sauce or use a pre-made jar. Just use your favorite.
Cheese: There is a bit of parmesan cheese in the breadcrumb mixture. The recipe also calls for parmesan and mozzarella on top of the marina sauce. Oh so yummy!

Do you just place some marinara sauce between the pasta and the chicken? You didn’t mention it in the directions.
