This graham cracker crust is a favorite at my house. It’s so easy, anyone can make it and it is the perfect beginning to a delicious dessert!
This recipe works great for a 9” pie plate or a 9-10” springform pan which works great for a no-bake cheesecake pan.

- It’s going to depend on your storing conditions. To get the most out of the shelf life of graham crackers, store the graham crackers in a cool and dry area. They will stay good for 6 to 9 months.

How do you keep a graham cracker crust from sticking?
- You can lightly grease a 9-inch pie plate with non-stick cooking spray. It also helps if the crust is properly pressed into the pan. Use a cup or measuring cup with a flat bottom and press the graham cracker into the pie plate. You can also use your hands to compact it a little and press it around the sides of the pie plate.

How many graham crackers are 2 cups?
- 10 graham crackers equal 1 and 1/2 cups so about 7 or 8 should equal 1 cup. Just run one inner package of graham crackers through the food processor. It made 1 1/4 cups of crumbs. So, an entire box (14.4 oz) will yield approx. 3 3/4 cups of crumbs.

- Cookies – graham crackers are cookies, so if you are looking for a similar flavor, you can try using ginger snaps, vanilla wafers, or even Oreo cookies–lemon Oreos or vanilla Oreos give it a fun twist too.
- Ice Cream Cones – Both sugar cones and waffle cones have a sweet taste that will work great as the crust of a pie.
How to make a Graham Cracker Crust:
- Use a food processor to mince your graham crackers into crumbs. You will want about 1 1/2 cups of Graham Cracker crumbs for a 9″ pie plate. (This should be about 12 full sheets of graham crackers)
- Add your 1/3 cup of sugar to the graham crackers.
- Melt your butter and add it to the graham cracker mixture.
- Add Cinnamon, if desired. (1/2 tsp cinnamon)
Toss the mixture with a fork. It does a better job of combining all the ingredients.
The graham cracker mixture should resemble wet sand. When you squeeze some in your hand it should keep its shape but crumble just a little.
Use the back of a spoon, the flat bottom of a measuring cup or your hands to press the graham cracker mixture into a pie plate. Be sure to try and get the sides even first and then press the remaining crumbs into the bottom of the pie plate.
To finish the graham cracker crust, to make sure it doesn’t crumble and will hold it’s shaping while being served, bake the crust in a 350-degree oven for 12-14 minutes.
