For a baby shower, serve in mini mason jars or even martini glasses topped with a maraschino cherry. Or, for a kids birthday party serve in plastic cups and load on the sprinkles.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- Much more decadent than basic chocolate pudding. Each parfait layers crushed Oreos with a fluffy cream cheese whipped cream and rich homemade chocolate ganache for plenty of creamy, crunchy, chocolatey texture.
- Whipped ganache makes it light and mousse-like. Once chilled, the chocolate ganache is whipped until fluffy, giving the parfaits a rich chocolate mousse texture without requiring a complicated mousse recipe.
- Adorable individual dessert with very little decorating. Simply piping the contrasting layers into clear cups or jars creates a pretty presentation that works for everything from kids’ parties to showers and special occasions.

Key Ingredients
- Heavy Cream – any type of heavy whipping cream will work.
- Chocolate – we used semi-sweet chocolate chips, but you could use any type of chocolate bars or even milk chocolate if you want.
- Cream Cheese – make sure that your cream cheese is at room temperature and soft enough to mix with the whipped cream.
- Powdered Sugar – it’s a good idea to sift your powdered sugar to remove any lumps prior to using.
- Vanilla Extract – pure vanilla extract tastes best.
- Oreos – you can crush your own Oreos by putting them between two layers of parchment and rolling a rolling pin over them. Or, you can buy the already crushed!
How to Make This Oreo Parfait Dessert
- Make the ganache. Simmer the cream and pour the hot cream over the chocolate. Let it sit for a couple minutes to melt the chocolate, then whisk the chocolate and cream together until smooth.
- Chill. Place a piece of plastic wrap directly over the ganache, cool to room temperature, and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes (or overnight).
- Make cream cheese mixture. Whip cream on high until soft peaks form, then slowly add the vanilla extract and powdered sugar while mixing on low. Transfer to another bowl. Whip the room temperature cream cheese on high until light and fluffy, then carefully add in one scoop of whipped cream at a time until the cream cheese and whipped cream are combined.
- Whip the ganache. When you’re ready to assemble the parfaits, remove the chocolate ganache from the fridge and whip with a hand mixer, or in a stand mixer with the whisk attachment, until light and fluffy – about 2-3 minutes.
- Prep piping bags. Scoop the whipped cream mixture and whipped chocolate ganache into separate piping bags and cut the tips off.
- Assemble each layer. In the bottom of a small jar or cup, add a few tablespoons of crushed Oreos. Next, pipe in a layer of whipped cream, then a layer of chocolate ganache. Repeat the layers of Oreos, whipped topping and chocolate ganache one more time so that there are 2 layers of each.
- Serve. Garnish the top with a bit more whipped cream and a sprinkle of crushed Oreos, then serve immediately. Enjoy!

Recipe Variations and Substitutions
- If you don’t have a lot of time and need a quick and easy shortcut, you can substitute Cool Whip for the whipped cream cheesecake layer.
- Try making with different flavors of Oreos, other types of crushed cookies, or even chopped candy bars.
- Add different mix-ins such as vanilla pudding, mini marshmallows, caramel sauce, Homemade Chocolate Syrup, Hot Fudge, Strawberries, Easy Strawberry Sauce, candied nuts or maraschino cherries.
