Andes Mint Chocolate Covered Oreos
When I need a super simple festive holiday treat, these Andes mint Oreos are one of my go-to recipes. All you need are Oreos, Andes Mints, and any decorative sprinkles or treats that you want to add.
There are all kinds of fun varieties of Oreos to use such as mint Oreos, Double Stuffed, Chocolate stuffed, and more. Decorate these cute little Oreo cookies any way that you'd like. Use mini M&M's to make a rainbow or melt some chocolate wafers, pipe it on, and turn them into a holiday tree.
Ingredients You Will Need
- Oreo Cookies - you can use any kind of Oreo cookies. Of course, you could also make this recipe with other types of cookies.
- Andes Mint Chocolate Candies - you can melt Andes candies in the same way that you would any other type. Just unwrap each candy, place in a microwave-safe bowl, and heat for about 30 seconds at a time, stirring between, until they are melted but not hot.
- Colored Chocolate Melting Wafers - if you want to make little Christmas tree decorations, melt about ¼ cup of green melting wafers, put into a piping bag, snip off the end, and pipe.
- Sprinkles - before the chocolate sets up completely, add any type of festive sprinkles or tiny candies that you would like.

How to Make Mint Chocolate Dipped Oreos
- Melt the Andes chocolates. Unwrap the Andes mints and place in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for about 30 seconds, then take the chocolate out and stir. Microwave again for 30 seconds., stirring afterwards. If needed, repeat the process until there are just a few unmelted pieces of Andes mints. Stir until completely melted.
- Dip the Oreo cookies. Immediately after melting, dip one Oreo in at a time into the chocolate. Use a fork to turn the oreo over and shake just a little to let any excess chocolate off the cookie.
- Let the chocolate set. Place the dipped Oreo cookies onto a baking sheet covered with parchment paper and continue until they are all finished. Allow them to cool for 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is set.
- Decorate. Once dipped, decorate as desired with melted chocolate wafers, sprinkles, and tiny candies. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week. Enjoy!

Recipe Variations
- Peppermint Bark: Dip your Oreos in white chocolate and sprinkle them with crushed Andes mints and finely crushed candy canes.
- S'mores: Layer your Oreos with marshmallow fluff and crushed graham crackers before dipping them in milk chocolate and adding a sprinkle of Andes mints.
- Ice Cream Sandwiches: Sandwich mint chocolate chip ice cream between two chocolate-covered Oreos and roll them in crushed Andes mints.
- Almond Joy: Add a whole almond on top of your chocolate-covered Oreos before they set, and sprinkle them with crushed Andes mints. The combination is reminiscent of the classic Almond Joy candy bar.

Thanks for a great holiday idea! Time to get our bake on!

Usually at Aldis or in some supermarkets around holiday time , you can find 12 oz bags of crushed Andes. I make my favorite brownies and right after taking out of oven I sprinkle a bag over them and let it melt and cool. Makes a perfect mint brownie????. I will definitely try the dipped Oreos! Thanks : )

Just disregard all those ??? Marks LOL
