Ingredients You Will Need

  • Baguette – slice the baguette into ¼” – 1/3” slices.  You can do this ahead of time and store in plastic until you are ready to use.
  • Cream Cheese – it will be easier to spread if it is at room temperature.  If you’d like to season it, transfer to a small bowl and add in salt, pepper and/or Italian seasoning before spreading a thin layer onto each baguette slice.
  • Salami – if you can find salami that is already about 2” in diameter, you can get away with simply slicing thin.  Otherwise, you’ll want to either cut each slice into quarters, roll it or fold it.
  • Cheese – it’s nice to use two different types of cheese, but that is really up to you.  Some of our favorites include Monterey Jack, Pepper Jack and cheddar.  You could also use mini mozzarella balls, sliced mozzarella, gouda or really any of your favorite types of cheese!  We slice ours to about ¼” and cut into squares that will fit onto the baguette.
  • Pepperoncini – this adds a nice zip to the kabobs!

How to Make Italian Mini Kabobs Appetizers

  1. Prep.  Cut and slice all of your ingredients so they are ready to go and you can build.
  2. Build.  Spread room temperature cream cheese in a thin layer over a baguette slice.   Top with a slice of salami, 2 slices of cheese and a piece of pepperoncini.
  3. Skewer.  Skewer with a toothpick, and set on a serving platter or baking sheet.  Continue with the rest of the baguette slices.
  4. Serve.  Once you have finished building all of your mini kabobs, either serve immediately or cover with plastic wrap and store in the fridge for up to 48 hours.  Enjoy!

  • Add artichoke hearts, olives, cherry tomatoes or fresh basil.
  • Season the cream cheese with Italian seasoning.
  • Make gluten-free and skip the baguette.  Instead, just add extra slices of meat, cheese or other yummy ingredients.
