Pizza Toppings
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
- 1/2 cup Caramelized Onions
- 3 tablespoons Gorgonzola or blue cheese
- 3 large Figs or about 1/8 cup of fig jam
- 4 slices Prosciutto cut into 1" chunks
Fresh Pizza Toppings
- 1½ cups Fresh Arugula
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil good quality
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Preheat your oven to 450 degrees F.
With lightly floured hands, stretch and shape your pizza dough into a 12" round pizza pan. If it begins to resist, let the dough relax for a couple of minutes and then continue to stretch. Spread the white sauce evenly and thinly over the stretched dough using an offset spatula. Be sure to spread only up to about 1" from the edge of the pizza all the way around. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the top of the sauce. Add the caramelized onions, gorgonzola cheese, and prosciutto evenly on the pizza.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the edges and bottom are golden brown and the cheese has melted. Remove from oven.
To finish, add a handful of arugula, a drizzle of olive oil, and a sprinkle of sea salt. Enjoy!
