Slow Cooker Sausage Dip Recipe

This slow cooker Rotel sausage dip is warm, cheesy, a little spicy, and made with just 3 simple ingredients. It’s a perfect game day party dip because it’s easy to whip up and always a crowd pleaser. Serve with your favorite dippers like tortilla chips, sliced bread, fresh veggies, or crackers.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound hot Italian sausage removed from casing
  • ¼ cup water
  • 16 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 10-ounce can Rotel green chili tomatoes

Instructions

  • In a skillet over medium heat, add the sausage and 1/4 cup of water. Cook until no longer pink, breaking it up into small crumbles with a spatula. Once cooked, transfer to a paper towel lined plate.
  • Spray the inside of a small slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray. Add the cooked sausage, cream cheese, and the can of Rotel tomatoes.
  • Cover and cook on high heat for about 2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes or so, until the cream cheese is melted.
  • Serve warm with chips, bread chunks, or fresh veggies. Enjoy!

Notes

Storing instructions: store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Reheating: you can microwave a small portion, reheat in a slow cooker on warm, or place in a small pot over low heat and stir frequently.
