- 3-4 pound turkey breast boneless
- 1 0.7 ounce package Good Seasons Italian Seasoning Mix
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup avocado oil
- 2 large lemons sliced thin
- 2 large limes sliced thin
- 2 large yellow onions peeled and quartered
- 5 large carrots cut into 2" pieces
Marinating the Turkey Breast
In a large freezer bag, add the turkey breast, Italian seasoning mix, orange juice, avocado oil, lemon slices, and lime slices. Seal the bag, shake well, and then transfer to the fridge to marinate for at least 12 hours, or up to 48 hours.
Cooking the Turkey Breast
Once the turkey breast has marinated, remove it from the bag and place it in a crockpot along with about 1/3 cup of the marinade. Add the onions and carrots around the sides of the turkey.
Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours, or on high for 4-5 hours, until a meat thermometer reads 165 degrees F with inserted into the thickest part.
Preheat your oven to broil setting.
Once cooked through, transfer the turkey breast to a 9 x 13" roasting pan and broil the top of the turkey breast for about 2 minutes, or until lightly golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let the turkey breast rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Serve along with the carrots and onions. Enjoy!
Storing leftovers: store leftover turkey breast in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days, or in the freezer for up to 1 month.
Reheating: to reheat, either microwave until warm or warm in a 300 degree oven, covered in a shallow dish, for about 30 minutes. If your turkey is a little dry, pour a few tablespoons of chicken broth over the top before reheating.
