Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 10 ounces mini marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies Cereal

Bird Nest Decorations

  • 3 drops green food coloring
  • 1 cup coconut
  • Easter candies Cadbury Mini Eggs, Jelly Beans, or similar

Instructions

  • In a large pan nonstick pan over medium low heat, add the butter and melt completely. Add the mini marshmallows and mix until melted. Off the heat, add the Rice Krispies and gently stir until combined.
  • Spray cupcake pans with nonstick spray, then lightly wet your hands. Scoop a ball of Rice Krispies to form a small nest in each cupcake tin, making sure it comes up above the lip of the pan slightly.
  • Place the coconut into a freezer bag. Add 3 drops of green food coloring, seal, and shake until all the coconut is green and looks like "grass."
  • Add about 1 tablespoon of coconut grass to the top of each bird nest and place your favorite kind of egg-shaped candy on top. Let the treats cool until you are able to easily unmold them. Enjoy!
