- 3 pounds chicken drumsticks skin on
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons avocado oil
- 1 cup bbq sauce
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Place drumsticks in a large mixing bowl. Use a paper towel and pat them dry, then season with salt and pepper on all sides. Drizzle with avocado oil, and mix to coat them completely.
Place the chicken drumsticks onto a baking sheet lined with foil or parchment paper and bake for about 15 minutes, then remove from the oven and brush each drumstick with BBQ sauce. Return to the oven and bake for about 10 more minutes, or until the BBQ sauce on the drumsticks is caramelized and the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.
Remove the drumsticks from the oven and cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
Storing leftovers: store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
Reheating: you can either microwave your drumsticks to reheat, or place in a preheated 350 degree oven for about 15 minutes.
