Homemade Tzatziki Sauce Recipe

This easy homemade tzatziki sauce is made with Greek yogurt, cucumber, garlic, and fresh herbs. It’s a cool, creamy, and tangy sauce that tastes delicious served with raw or grilled veggies, pita chips, salads, and in wraps or sandwiches.

Ingredients

  • cups cucumber peeled and grated (about 1 whole cucumber)
  • 2 cups plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium lemon zested and juiced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons parsley chopped

Instructions

  • Peel and grate the cucumber using a box grater. Transfer cucumber to a bowl lined with cheesecloth and allow to sit while you prep the rest of the ingredients.
  • Once you are ready, squeeze excess liquid from the cucumber through the cheesecloth and discard. In a food processor, add the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, minced garlic cloves, salt, pepper, and parsley, then mix until combined.
  • Transfer to a glass jar or other airtight container and store for up to 5 days in the fridge. Serve with veggies, pita chips, or on your favorite wrap or sandwich. Enjoy!

Storing: store in an airtight container for 3-5 days in the fridge.
