- 24 ounces steak sirloin, rib eye, tri tip
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil
- 1 tablespoon garlic minced
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 tablespoon honey
Garnish
- 1 tablespoon parsley chopped
- 2 whole limes cut into wedges
Cut steak into 3/4" bite-sized pieces.
In a large skillet over medium high heat, add the avocado oil. Once hot, add the diced steak and spread over the bottom of the pan.
Add the minced garlic, chili powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper and cook for about 2-3 minutes. Using tongs, lift one piece of steak. If it's caramel colored, turn each steak bite and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Just before your steak bites are finished cooking, add the butter and honey. Stir, adding a bit more salt and pepper to taste if desired. The honey butter should lift the caramelized bits off of the bottom of the pan to create a flavorful sauce.
Remove from the heat and allow to rest for about 5 minutes. To serve, sprinkle with the chopped parsley and a squeeze of fresh lime. Enjoy!
Storing leftovers: store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Reheating: wrap steak bites in foil and place in a preheated 350 degree oven for about 15 minutes, or until warmed through.
