Ingredients

  • 24 ounces steak sirloin, rib eye, tri tip
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 tablespoon honey

Garnish

  • 1 tablespoon parsley chopped
  • 2 whole limes cut into wedges

Instructions

  • Cut steak into 3/4" bite-sized pieces.
  • In a large skillet over medium high heat, add the avocado oil. Once hot, add the diced steak and spread over the bottom of the pan.
  • Add the minced garlic, chili powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper and cook for about 2-3 minutes. Using tongs, lift one piece of steak. If it's caramel colored, turn each steak bite and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Just before your steak bites are finished cooking, add the butter and honey. Stir, adding a bit more salt and pepper to taste if desired. The honey butter should lift the caramelized bits off of the bottom of the pan to create a flavorful sauce.
  • Remove from the heat and allow to rest for about 5 minutes. To serve, sprinkle with the chopped parsley and a squeeze of fresh lime. Enjoy!

Notes

Storing leftovers: store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Reheating: wrap steak bites in foil and place in a preheated 350 degree oven for about 15 minutes, or until warmed through.
