Ingredients

  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
  • Add the butter to a 9" by 13" baking dish and place in the oven while it heats.
  • Meanwhile, add the eggs, milk, salt, and flour into a blender. Blend for about 15 seconds until all the ingredients are well-combined and frothy.
  • Carefully remove the dish from the hot oven and swirl to make sure all of the edges are covered in melted butter.
  • Pour the blended pancake batter into the pan and place back into the oven for 12-14 minutes, or until puffed up and golden brown.
  • Once cooked through, remove from the oven. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving with fresh berries and your favorite syrup. Enjoy!

Notes

Storing leftovers: German Pancakes don’t store very well so it’s best to only make as much as you want to eat in one sitting.  If you do have any leftovers, store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.  They’ll still taste just fine as a snack with a little Nutella, peanut butter, or whipped cream.
Reheating: either microwave or place into a warm oven for a few minutes.
