Cinnamon Buttercream Frosting

This Cinnamon Buttercream Frosting is dreamy, creamy, light, and fluffy with the perfect amount of cinnamon. It makes the perfect compliment to so many of your favorite cakes, cookies, cupcakes, and more.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups powdered sugar sifted
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  • In the bowl of a stand mixer, add the room temperature butter and whip using the whisk attachment until it is light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add the cinnamon and vanilla extract and whisk to combine.
  • Next, add the powdered sugar and milk and whisk again until light and fluffy and completely combined. If necessary, add up to 1 more tablespoon of milk to reach the desired consistency.
  • Use immediately, or store in the refrigerator or freezer. Enjoy!

Notes

Storing Instructions
  • Refrigerator- Buttercream Frosting is best stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 10 days.
  • Freezer- You can store it in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 3 months. When ready to use it, just let it thaw and whip it in your mixing bowl to make it light and fluffy. You may need to add more powdered sugar to get it back to the right consistency.
Tips
  • You can substitute heavy whipping cream or evaporated milk
