Churro Oyster Crackers Recipe

These sweet and salty churro oyster crackers make for an addicting snack mix that takes just a few minutes to prepare. Each crunchy oyster cracker is coated in a buttery toffee mixture that is baked onto them before coating in cinnamon sugar.

Ingredients

Snack Mix

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 9 ounces oyster crackers

Churro Coating

  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine the butter, sugar, corn syrup, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Bring to a rapid boil and cook for 30 seconds, then remove from the heat and add the oyster crackers to the sugar mixture.
  • Mix to coat, then pour the crackers and sugar mixture onto a greased baking sheet.
  • Bake in your preheated oven for about 8 minutes, or until the sugar is bubbling on the crackers.
  • Remove from the oven, then combine the 3/4 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon in a small bowl. Sprinkle over the baked crackers, tossing to coat. Separate any clumps of crackers and allow to cool on the baking sheet before serving or storing. Enjoy!
