Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter room temperature
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • bags chocolate chips

For Serving

  • vanilla ice cream
  • caramel sauce
  • chocolate sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • In the bowl of a stand mixer, add the softened butter, sugar, and brown sugar. Cream together using the paddle attachment until light and fluffy—about 3-5 minutes. Slowly add the eggs, vanilla, and salt and mix together on low speed.
  • In a separate large bowl, combine the baking powder, baking soda, and flour. Mix until combined. Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix on low until almost completely combine. Add the chocolate chips and mix until combined.
  • Press the cookie dough into a greased 10-12" cast iron skillet or baking dish.
  • Bake in your preheated oven for 25-35 minutes, or until golden brown on the top and gooey in the middle.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for 5-10 minutes. Serve warm topped with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, and caramel sauce. Enjoy!

Notes

Reheating: either microwave or warm in a preheated 350 degree oven.
