- 1-2 large chicken breasts cut into 1 inch pieces
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 24 ounces fresh tortellini
Alfredo Sauce
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 teaspoons garlic minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1½ cups Parmesan cheese grated, shredded, or both
In a deep nonstick skillet, add the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken and season with Italian Seasoning and garlic salt. Cook while stirring occasionally until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
In the same pan, add the butter and melt. Use a wooden spoon to scrape the golden chicken bits off the bottom of the pan. Add the minced garlic and saute until fragrant and just slightly golden.
Add the chicken broth, cream, pepper, and garlic salt and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 2 minutes to reduce a little of the liquid, then add the Parmesan cheese and bring back to a simmer.
Add the tortellini pasta and let the pasta simmer until done, according to package directions.
Add the cooked chicken and stir until all the ingredients are combined. Remove from the heat and garnish with minced fresh parsley and more Parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
