- 12 ounces chocolate chopped into 1/2" pieces
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Place the chocolate in a glass bowl on a double boiler over medium heat. Add the cream and salt and stir gently until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
Remove from the heat and add vanilla extract, then stir to combine.
Serve in a bowl or keep warm in a fondue pot or slow cooker on warm. Serve with your favorite fruit, chunks of cake or cookies. Enjoy!
Storing leftovers: store leftover or unused chocolate in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days, or in the freezer for up to 2 months. To thaw, transfer to the fridge overnight.
Reheating: You can reheat your chocolate fondue in a slow cooker on low stirring frequently. You can also reheat it in the microwave at 50% power, stirring frequently until warmed through. Or, you can reheat it in a double boiler to ensure your chocolate does not scorch.
