Chocolate fondue is an incredibly decadent and rich dessert, perfect for New Year’s Eve, Valentine’s Day, or a birthday dinner. It’s simple to make and such a fun interactive experience for everyone.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces chocolate chopped into 1/2" pieces
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Place the chocolate in a glass bowl on a double boiler over medium heat. Add the cream and salt and stir gently until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
  • Remove from the heat and add vanilla extract, then stir to combine.
  • Serve in a bowl or keep warm in a fondue pot or slow cooker on warm. Serve with your favorite fruit, chunks of cake or cookies. Enjoy!

Storing leftovers: store leftover or unused chocolate in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days, or in the freezer for up to 2 months. To thaw, transfer to the fridge overnight.
Reheating: You can reheat your chocolate fondue in a slow cooker on low stirring frequently. You can also reheat it in the microwave at 50% power, stirring frequently until warmed through. Or, you can reheat it in a double boiler to ensure your chocolate does not scorch.
