- 1 pound button mushrooms cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 teaspoons garlic minced (about 3 cloves)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 tablespoon Italian parsley chopped for garnish
Using a damp paper towel, gently wipe off the mushrooms.
Heat a medium-sized skillet over medium high heat and add the butter. Once hot, add the mushrooms and cook for about 3 minutes, tossing occasionally.
Add the minced garlic and stir to coat the mushrooms in the butter and garlic. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally until the mushrooms are golden brown on several sides.
Season with salt and pepper and stir to coat. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm. Enjoy!
Storing leftovers: store leftover mushrooms in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Reheating: to reheat sauteed mushrooms you can either microwave or add them to a pan over medium heat.
Mushrooms to use: instead of button mushrooms, you could use cremini or baby bella.
