Crockpot Hot Chocolate Recipe

This crockpot hot chocolate is creamy, rich and full of chocolate flavor.  It’s a simple recipe that the whole family will love, made with whole milk, sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder, vanilla and just a pinch of salt.

Ingredients

  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder unsweetened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 8 cups milk

Instructions

  • In a slow cooker, add the sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, salt, and half of the milk. Whisk until combined, then add the rest of the milk and whisk again.
  • Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook on low for about 2 hours, stirring every 20-30 minutes.
  • Once the mixture reaches 160-185 degrees F, turn off the crockpot or set to warm.
  • Stir well, then ladle into mugs and serve with whipped cream. Enjoy!

Notes

Storing Instructions: store leftover hot chocolate in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
Reheating: Either reheat in the microwave, or return to a small pot and gently reheat over medium heat until warm.
