This bacon ranch cheese ball is a quick and easy appetizer made with cream cheese, cheddar cheese, ranch, bacon, and green onions. It's perfect for holiday entertaining, game day, or any other occasion.
With a sharp knife, cut the bacon into 1/3" strips. Heat a nonstick pan over medium heat, add the slices bacon, and saute for 5-8 minutes until sizzling and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the bacon bits to a paper plate lined with a paper towel to cool.
Meanwhile, in the bowl of a stand mixer, add the softened cream cheese, 1/2 cup bacon bits, 1/3 cups of the sliced green onions, shredded cheddar, and Hidden Valley ranch mix. Mix on low speed until well-combined.
Turn off the mixer, remove the cheese mixer from the bowl, and form it into a ball with a rubber spatula. If you can't get it smooth or into a symmetrical ball shape, you can use your hands.
Place the cheese ball on a serving platter and cover the sides and top with bacon bits. Garnish with the remaining sliced green onions, then cover with plastic wrap until you are ready to serve. Enjoy!
