Edible Cookie Dough Recipe

Ingredients

Edible Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

  • cups All-Purpose Flour heat-treated and cooled (see below)
  • cup Butter room temperature
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips

Instructions

How to Heat Treat Flour

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Spread flour evenly on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven for about 10 minutes. Watch carefully and stir if necessary so it doesn't burn.
  • Remove flour from the oven and let cool to room temperature. After the flour has cooled, sift through a clean sifter to break up any large clumps.

To Make the Edible Cookie Dough

  • In the bowl of a stand mixer, or a medium mixing bowl, combine the room temperature butter, sugar, and brown sugar. Using the paddle attachment, cream until light and fluffy, or about 3 minutes.
  • Add the milk, vanilla extract, and salt and mix until well-combined, then add in the prepared flour. Mix until almost completely combined, then stir in the chocolate chips by hand.
  • Scoop or cut as desired, then store in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Enjoy!
