Easy Pesto Flatbread Recipe

This Three Cheese Pesto Flatbread is uses a few shortcuts including store bought dough to keep things simple and delicious. It’s topped with basil pesto, three kinds of cheese, fresh tomatoes, and herbs.

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • ½ cup Red Onion diced
  • ½ cup Red Pepper diced
  • ½ cup Prepared Pesto
  • cup Feta Cheese
  • 1 cup Mozzarella shredded
  • ¼ cup Parmesan Cheese shredded or grated
  • 1 large Tomato thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 can Refrigerated Pizza Dough

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Grease a large baking sheet and set aside.
  • In a saute pan over medium high heat, add the olive oil and warm. Saute the onion and red pepper until tender and onion is transparent. Remove from the heat.
  • Unroll the pizza dough and place onto your prepared baking sheet. Stretch and roll out slightly, then using the back of a spoon, spread pesto evenly over the top.
  • Sprinkle the onion and pepper mixture on top of the pesto, then sprinkle the three cheeses, followed by the tomato slices, oregano, and salt to taste.
  • Bake in your preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  • Remove from the oven and cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
