Garlic Pull Apart Bread

This easy pull-apart garlic bread recuoe is a fun and easy twist on homemade garlic bread or garlic knot recipe.  It's soft and chewy on the inside and crusty, buttery and garlicky on the outside.  This bread recipe is perfect as a side dish, especially with your favorite Italian Food.

Ingredients

Dough for Pull Apart Bread

  • 2.5 Cup Warm Water
  • 4 teaspoon Yeast
  • 2 T Sugar
  • 6.5-7 Cups Flour (All Purpose)
  • 2 teaspoon Salt

Homemade Garlic Butter

  • 1 Cup Butter Room Temp
  • ¼ cup Parmesan Cheese Grated
  • 2 Tablespoons Parsley minced, fresh or frozen
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt

Egg Wash

  • 1 large egg
  • 2 Tbls Milk

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees

How to Make Dough for Pull-Apart Bread

  • In a large measuring cup pr bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Mix and then let sit till frothy.
  • In a stand mixer (you can also make this by hand), combine half of the flour and the salt.  Slowly add the frothy yeast mixture.  mix well and knead for 1 minute or until thoroughly combined. Slowly add the remaining flour a half cup at a time until the dough pulls away from the edges of the mixing bowl.   
  • Cover with a towel and let the dough rest for about 10 minutes
  • Cut the dough in half and roll onto a lightly floured surface.  The dough should be about a half inch think.  

How To Make Homemade Garlic Butter

  • In a small mixing bowl, combine the butter, garlic, parsley, and salt. Mix until it's all combined.

How to Assemble Garlic Pull-Apart Bread

  • Spread about ⅓ of the garlic butter over the entire dough and lightly sprinkle parmesan cheese over the butter.  Cut into 3" squares and stack in a baking dish. Repeat again with the second half of the dough.  
  • Whisk the egg and milk together in a small bowl and brush to wash the egg mixture over the bread. Let the bread rise for 10-15 Minutes.  
  • Bake in a 350 degree preheated oven for about 20 minutes or till golden brown.
