Homemade Chocolate Syrup Recipe

This easy Homemade Chocolate Syrup is super smooth, perfectly sweet and tastes so much better than the store bought version.  Use to make chocolate milk and hot chocolate, or drizzle over ice cream, brownies and so much more.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups Water
  • 1 ½ cups Sugar
  • 1 cup Cocoa Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  • In a large saucepan over medium high heat, add water, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Bring to a rapid boil, stirring constantly, and boil for 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove the chocolate sauce from the heat and add the vanilla extract. Stir until sauce is smooth.
  • Serve with vanilla ice cream, cheesecake, brownies and more. Enjoy!
