Nutella Balls Recipe

These no-bake Nutella Balls are an easy and delicious homemade candy filled with creamy Nutella, crunchy graham crackers and hand-dipped in your favorite kind of chocolate.  Inspired by peanut butter Buckeye candies, this Nutella version makes the perfect gift for neighbors, teachers or to eat all by yourself.

Ingredients

Nutella Balls

  • ½ cup Butter room temperature
  • 1 cup Nutella
  • 1 cup Graham Crackers crushed into crumbs
  • 2 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1 teaspoons Vanilla Extract

Chocolate for Dipping

  • 12 ounced Chocolate Chips semi sweet or milk chocolate melted
  • 2 Tablespoons Shortening

Instructions

  • In the bowl of a stand mixer, add the room temperature butter and Nutella. Using the paddle attachment, cream together on medium speed until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  • Add the graham cracker crumbs, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar and mix on low to combine until the mixture is crumbly but holds its shape if squeezed in the palm of your hand. (Note: if it's too sticky, add a touch more graham crackers and if it's too dry, add a touch more Nutella)
  • Before shaping, coat your hands lightly with butter or non-stick cooking spray, then scoop and roll the Nutella mixture into 1" balls.
  • Place each ball on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, then set in the fridge until you are ready to dip, or at least 30 minutes.
  • In the meantime, melt the choclate by adding it to a mivrowave safe bowl. Add the shortening and then microwave on 30 second intervals, stirring between intervals, and repeating until the chocolate is smooth and melted.
  • Remove the Nutella balls from the fridge. Using a fork, plunge one Nutella ball at a time completely into the chocolate, then remove using the fork. Shake and tap on the side of the bowl, then scrape the bottom of the fork to remove excess chocolate. Place the chocolate-dipped Nutella ball on the parchment-lined sheet tray and continue until all balls are dipped.
  • Once you are finished dipping, refrigerate for 30 minutes or until set, then serve. To store, transfer to an airtight container and store in a cool place. Enjoy!
