Cinnamon Buttercream Frosting

This Cinnamon Buttercream Frosting is dreamy, creamy, light and fluffy with the perfect amount of cinnamon.  It makes the perfect compliment to so many of your favorite cakes, cookies, cupcakes and more.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Butter room tempreature
  • 2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 4 cups Powdered Sugar sifted
  • 2-3 tablespoons Milk can substitute heavy whipping cream or evaporated milk

Instructions

  • In the bowl of a stand mixer, add the room temperature butter and whip using the whisk attachment until it is light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
  • Add the cinnamon and vanilla extract and whisk to combine.
  • Next, add the powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons of milk and whisk again until light and fluffy and completely combined.
  • Add up to an additional tablespoon of milk, if needed, until desired consistency is reached.
  • Use immediately, or store in the refrigerator or freezer. Enjoy!

Notes

How to Store Buttercream

If you have leftover buttercream frosting, you can store it in your fridge for a couple of weeks.  Just put your buttercream frosting in a covered container with a lid. When you're ready to use it again, just take the frosting out of the fridge and let it get to room temperature again.  Using a hand-held mixer, just mix the frosting again until you have fluffy buttercream frosting again.
