Sun-Dried Tomato Alfredo Sauce Recipe

The most delicious and flavorful homemade Alfredo sauce you will ever make!   This sun-dried tomato Alfredo sauce is a tried and true recipe.  It has the creamy-ness of a traditional Alfredo but with so much more flavor! It's the perfect blend of cheese and sun-dried tomatoes! You can use as a sauce on your favorite noodles or as a dipping sauce for breadsticks or broccoli.  It's sure to be a family favorite.  This recipe is perfect for about a pound of pasta

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Pasta Cooked according to package directions--Use your favorite pasta!
  • 2 cups Heavy Cream
  • 2 oz Sun-dried Tomatoes Dried or in a jar are fine
  • cups Chicken Broth
  • 2 cups Parmesan Cheese shredded or grated
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic Salt
  • teaspoon Nutmeg
  • teaspoon Pepper

Instructions

  • In a blender, blend together the chicken broth and the sun-dried tomatoes.
  • In a medium saucepan on the stove, on medium low heat, bring the cream to a  boil. Boil for 1.5 minutes.  (You are boiling some of the liquid out of the cream so it will be a little thicker)
  • Add the sun-dried tomato mixture to the cream and add the parmesan cheese, garlic salt, nutmeg, and the pepper.
  • Bring the mixture back up to a boil and stir until smooth and creamy.
  • Add your sauce to some freshly cooked pasta, steamed vegetables or use as a dipping sauce for your favorite breadsticks.  Enjoy!
