Ingredients

  • 2-4 lbs Carne Asada
  • 3 Tablespoons Adobo Sauce from canned Chipotle Peppers in Adobo
  • ¼ cup Lime Juice or about 2 limes
  • ¼ cup Brown Sugar
  • ¼ cup Avocado Oil
  • ½ cup Cilantro finely chopped
  • 5 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 med Lime for serving

Instructions

  • In a large ziploc bag, combine the adobo sauce, (chipotle peppers too for extra spice), lime juice, avocado oil, brown sugar, finely chopped cilantro, minced garlic, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Mix and then add the meat. Marinate for about 30 minutes.
  • Once ready to cook, heat a large nonstick saucepan or cast iron pan over medium high heat. Add the avocado oil, then remove the meat from the marinade and add to the pan. For medium rare, sear for about 2-3 minutes per side, seasoning with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Once cooked, transfer the carne asada to a plate and let it rest for about 5 minutes before slicing, tossing with any juices, and serving on tacos, nachos, burritos, fries, and more. Enjoy!
