Crockpot Hot Chocolate Recipe

This Crockpot Hot Chocolate is creamy, rich and full of chocolate flavor.  It’s a simple recipe that the whole family will love, made with whole milk, sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder, vanilla and just a pinch of salt.

  • 1 14-oz can Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • ½ cup Cocoa Powder unsweetened
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 6 cups Milk


  • In a slow cooker, add the sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, salt and half of the milk. Whisk until combined, then add the rest of the milk and whisk again.
  • Place lid on the slow cooker and turn to LOW. Cook for about 2 hours, stirring every 20-30 minutes.
  • Once the mixture reaches 160-185 degrees F, turn off the crockpot or set to warm.
  • Stir well, then ladle into mugs and serve with whipped cream. Enjoy!
