Hot Mulled Cider Recipe
This festive Mulled Cider is a warm and cozy way to kick off the fall season. The apple cider is slowly simmered to infuse flavors of fresh citrus and seasonal spices like cinnamon and cloves.

- 2 quarts Apple Cider or Apple Juice
- 1 cup Orange Juice
- ¼ cup Lemon Juice
- ¼ cup Sugar
- 3 large Cinnamon Sticks
- 1 teaspoon Whole Cloves
- 2 large Star Anise
- 1 small Orange sliced
- 1 small Lemon sliced
In a large pot, add the apple cider (or apple juice), orange juice, lemon juice, sugar, cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, and star anise. Mix together, then add the sliced orange and lemon.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer over medium low heat and continue to simmer with the lid slightly ajar for 4-8 hours.
Strain through a piece of cheesecloth or a fine mesh strainer, then return to the pot.
Ladle into mugs and serve warm. Enjoy!
