Homemade Banana Bread

This banana bread is made with a ton of ripe bananas, a little butter, and greek yogurt.  It's packed with flavor and so moist!  It's the perfect way to use up those ripe bananas!

  • 4 cups Flour all-purpose
  • 1 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 3 cups Ripe Bananas mashed, or about 6 ripe bananas
  • 2 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 4 Eggs lightly beaten
  • 12 Tablespoons Butter or 1 1/2 sticks of butter


  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
  • Spray (2) 9 by 5 inch baking pans with non-stick cooking spray
  • In a medium bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.  Stir until combined.  
  • In another bowl combine the mashed bananas, vanilla, greek yogurt, eggs, and melted butter.  Stir until combined. 
  • Add the flour mixture to the banana mixture and mix gently until combined.  Pour the batter into the greased loaf pans.  Make sure the batter is spread evenly between the two pans.  
  • Bake in a 350 degree, preheated oven, for 50-65 minutes. Bake until the banana bread is golden brown and when you insert a toothpick, it comes out clean. 
  • When you take the bread out of the oven, turn the pan on its side and tease the loaf out of the pan.  Cool on a wire rack until ready to eat.  Enjoy!
