Crockpot Cheesy Potatoes Recipe
This slow cooker cheesy hash brown potatoes recipe is an easy crockpot potatoes recipe. These slow cooker potatoes are a dump and go recipe and can be made ahead of time and then ready when you are.
Servings: 8 people
- 1 20 oz bag Shredded Potatoes frozen and pre-packaged work great
- 3 tablespoons Butter
- 1.5 cups Onion diced
- 2 cups Cheese (reserve 1/2 c for topping)
- 1 cup Sour Cream
- 1 10.5 oz can Cream of Mushroom Soup
- 2 tsp Garlic Salt
Spray the inside of your Slow Cooker with non-stick cooking spray.
In a skillet, melt the butter and add the onions. Cook the onions, on medium heat, until they are caramelized.
In the slow cooker, add the , shredded potatoes, caramelized onions, 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheese, sour cream, cream of mushroom soup and the garlic salt. Stir until combined.
Pat the ingredients in to the bottom of the slow cooker with a spoon and add the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheese.
Cook on high for 2.5- 3 hours or low for 4-5 hours. Or until the cheese is melted and slightly golden. Let the potatoes cool for about 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
