Made with either fresh or frozen strawberries, this recipe takes less than 15 minutes to prepare and just a few simple ingredients.

INGREDIENTS

– Strawberries – Sugar – Cornstarch – Water – Lemon Juice

In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the strawberries, sugar and water. Bring the mixture to a boil.

1

In a small bowl, combine the cornstarch and cold water and stir until the cornstarch is completely dissolved and smooth.

2

Slowly add the cornstarch slurry to the strawberries while stirring until it is all incorporated. Return to a boil and stir until the sauce is thick, or about 1 minute.

3

Remove the strawberry sauce from the heat and stir in the lemon juice. Let it cool for a few minutes, adding a touch of water or lemon juice until you reach the desired consistency.

4

Store for later, or serve immediately on pancakes, waffles, French toast, pounds cakes or vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!
