Green Shamrock Pancakes

These Green Shamrock St. Patrick's Day pancakes are the perfect way to start off the lucky day.

They’re just as soft and fluffy as our regular buttermilk pancakes and surprisingly easy to make.

– Sugar – Eggs – Buttermilk – Vanilla Extract – Green Food Coloring

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, add the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt and whisk to combine.

In a separate mixing bowl, combine the eggs, buttermilk, melted butter, and vanilla extract, and whisk well to break up the eggs. Add the green food coloring and mix again.

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and gently fold them together until well combined. Do not overmix; the mixture should still be a little lumpy.

Heat a pan or non-stick griddle over medium heat, then add about a tablespoon of butter to grease the pan.

Transfer pancake batter to a piping bag and cut a small tip off of the end. Quickly pipe the outline of a four leaf clover onto the griddle and then fill in with pancake batter.
