Alice Springs Chicken

Our Outback Alice Springs Chicken recipe is made with seasoned chicken breasts smothered in honey mustard sauce and topped with crispy bacon, sauteed mushrooms, and melted cheese.

It’s an easy and delicious way to spice up chicken breasts any night of the week.

– Chicken Breasts – Salt and Pepper – Bacon – Mushrooms - Butter

Cook the chicken breasts. Either oven-bake or grill your chicken until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F, then set aside.

Meanwhile, heat a large cast-iron skillet over medium heat and add the bacon. Cook the bacon until crispy, then remove and cool on paper towels.

Saute the mushrooms and garlic. Use a paper towel to remove all but about 1 tablespoon of bacon grease from the skillet, then add the sliced mushrooms and cook over medium-high heat until slightly golden.

Add the butter and minced garlic and cook until the garlic is transparent, or about 2-3 minutes. Place the mushroom and garlic mixture in a bowl.

Make the honey mustard sauce. To make the honey mustard sauce, combine the Dijon mustard, honey, mayo, garlic powder, and onion powder in a small bowl. Stir until combined.
